The Updated Yandex.Navigator no longer eat the battery?

Two days ago Yandex launched a new version of its browser. The official announcement on Habre was not, but shifttstas did overview new opportunities. Separate tridom reviews, as I expected, became discussion gluttony of the program. For example, my Samsung Galaxy Note the Navigator spent battery even when plugged in (full!) auto-charging. Usually the charge is kept at the same level or, at best, has grown by 12% per trip, but occasionally the phone discharged to "zero". I agree, this is a problem specific devices, similar cases are noted on the SGS II, but eat all CPU resources, even if one core is for the navigation software too.

And today I noticed that during the trip to work with the device the battery is fully charged from 12 to 20 percent. The phone is not heated up as much as usual. Yesterday I ran the new version on the test Highscreen Yummy Duo — camera has been running the Navigator and the screen on for 3 hours and discharged by only 30%. Before the battery fully died for a couple of hours of the operation Navigator without charging. The list of improvements for the current version there is nothing about optimization. So maybe it was an accident. In any case, Express gratitude Yandex and hope that this fix still made consciously and will not be lost in the next version. If so, then maybe someone will answer the question of why modern navigation software is so demanding? As I understand it, to render three-dimensional maps should be used 3D hardware accelerator. Even HD video playback consumes much less resources.

PS Who already tried the new version, confirm whether you have improved the battery consumption.
