it All started with the fact that three months ago we decided to unite the community of Russian-speaking iOS developers.
As you know, developers love to join a community to share experiences or just talk on vital topics. Such communities there is much, but, I think, the developers (aspiring or not) there is always a demand for live chat with the same developers.
To meet this demand, we decided to use a modern approach. Currently for group communication, new tools such as HipChat or Slack (Slack read more about here). In addition, they are used in the performance of any particular team, they can also be used to organize communities of interest. We chose Slack.
That's how we looked then:
During these three months we were joined by more than 1,000 participants from around the world (15 Tyson). They all, in varying degrees, are fans of the things that unites them is the development of iOS and OS X.
During this time we even managed to hold an informal meeting (over a beer) simultaneously in three cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Minsk.
And now, as we think, we become not just a community — we became a club. The club is a place where people with common interests. And it's just about us, we daily meet in our club.
From this day we are called Cocoa Developers Club.
